ESA is delighted to have developed the ESA Arts Sponsorship Certificate in partnership with social enterprise Cause4 via the Arts Council England-funded Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy Programme.
Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy
The Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Programme will help to transform fundraising across the arts and cultural sector. The Programme was the result of an Arts Council England commissioned grant and has been developed and is led by the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Consortium. Consortium partners are Cause4, the DARE Partnership of Opera North and the University of Leeds and the Arts Marketing Association. Over three years the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Programme is delivering a collaborative series of training, traineeships, coaching, digital skills and innovative practice. Working with trustees, leaders, senior managers and emerging talent, the Programme seeks to inspire, coach and resource people at all levels of the arts and cultural sector and ensure the training and development of a professional arts fundraising workforce. www.artsfundraising.org.uk
Cause4
Cause4 was set up as a social enterprise in May 2009 to support charities, social enterprises and philanthropists in development and fundraising across the charity, arts, sports and educational sectors. Cause4 seeks to be a modernising influence and leader within the charitable sector, offering relevant, contemporary solutions for charities and social enterprises at a time when more creative, entrepreneurial approaches are much needed. The organisation works in three main areas: strategy and fundraising, philanthropy and enterprise development and is the main delivery partner for the Arts Council England-funded Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy Programme. www.cause4.co.uk
Arts Council England
Arts Council England champions, develops and invests in artistic and cultural experiences that enrich people’s lives. We support a range of activities across the arts, museums and libraries – from theatre to digital art, reading to dance, music to literature, and crafts to collections. Great art and culture inspires us, brings us together and teaches us about ourselves and the world around us. In short, it makes life better. Between 2015 and 2018, we plan to invest £1.1 billion of public money from government and an estimated £700 million from the National Lottery to help create these experiences for as many people as possible across the country. www.artscouncil.org.uk
