ESA Sponsorship Sales Certificate Course Director, Cat Hawkins provides us with some course highlights and key takeaways.
What are the course highlights?
It’s always a pleasure to see the progress students make from the first session to the final assessment – generally there is a more confident articulation of the unique opportunity their platform could provide to a sponsoring business and this is, of course, a key skill for any seller.
Often the intangible attributes in any given opportunity are overlooked or undersold, and these are usually what distinguishes one opportunity ahead of another. The course really tries to bring this out for attendees.
The interactivity of the course is great – it is designed to support sellers by practising and developing their skills in the essential skills of effective partnership development.”
What would you say are the key takeaways for your students?
The course equips attendees with a range of techniques and skills to apply to the actual workplace – it’s really practical and pragmatic. I think students leave the course with more confidence in their platform or opportunity, and a strategic approach to prospecting and the identification of target partners.
Attendees have the chance to practise skills from each session in their real workplace between sessions and this is really essential and demonstrates the value of the principles we are discussing and applying in the group lectures.”
