Aramco wanted to connect with and inspire with youth of Saudi Arabia through its global partnerships. The Kingdom is one of the fastest growing global gaming and esports markets and this year hosted the inaugural Gamers8 event – organised by the Saudi Esports Federation hosted in Riyadh.
Aramco developed a strategic partnership Gamers8 with a core aim to develop a new generation of Saudi Sim Racing talent and e-drivers and break into the esports community. Aramco, with its partnership of the Aston Martin F1 team, was able to create community sim tournaments to find the next generation of drivers and provide them with training, academy places and race team experiences around the world in a bid to become professional drivers. At the heart of Aramco’s partnership would be a ‘home’ for all e-racing and Simulators as part of the Gamers8 Riyadh Boulevard – The Aramco Sim Racing Arena which attracted almost 100k fans during the festival; it’s most popular venue. The festival’s massive reach and platform through live streams, teams and fans attending helped the brand maximize its exposure as an underlying objective of any of its sponsorships.
