Extreme E & Allianz

Extreme E is a radical off-road racing series, showcasing electric SUVs and futuristic technologies in some of the world’s most remote and challenging environments.

This five-event global voyage utilises its sporting platform for the purpose of promoting electrification, environment and equality. The series’ goal is to highlight the impact of climate change in some of the world’s most endangered environments, promote the adoption of electric vehicles to pave the way for a lower carbon future, and provide a world-first gender-equal motorsport platform.

As the first sport to ever be built out of a social purpose, Extreme E aims to minimise environmental impact while maximising awareness, racing in places already damaged or affected by climate change or human interference and taking fans deep into the heart of the most pressing issues facing our planet’s future. At each location, the Championship host Legacy Programmes together with NGO’s to drive change and leave a long-lasting positive impact.

Alongside, they partner with Founding Partner and Official Insurance Partner, Allianz, who uphold the same values of protecting the planet and driving sustainable solutions to reduce the impact of climate change, the support of Legacy Programmes are a focal point.
Both partners focused on the local environmental challenges for the Senegal Legacy Programme where they invited Extreme E drivers and children from the charity organization “Empire des Enfants” to jointly explore their marine environment, discuss the necessity of protecting the ocean and also contribute a part towards a cleaner future by participating in a beach clean-up.
