On November 24, 2021, O2 hosted 800 Priority members and their guests at an exclusive show featuring Nigerian superstar Wizkid. Hosted at London’s iconic O2 Forum Kentish Town, the intimate show was the first chance for fans to see Wizkid perform in the UK since 2019.
As Virgin Media and O2 joined forces in June last year, the gig was created as a way to reward existing O2 Priority members and welcome Virgin Media customers to O2’s Priority Programme.
It was clear after the Wizkid gig the experience had struck a chord with guests. It generated O2’s top Priority stats in 2021 for an artist, delivered O2’s biggest share of voice on social media in 2021 and drove the highest engagement for O2’s Priority Tickets across the entire year.
O2 came away from the event understanding they’d delivered an incredibly special experience and reward for their Priority members, paving the way for a second Priority gig with Sam Fender in May at O2 City Call Newcastle which raised £144,000 for a local charity.
Produced in partnership with Live Nation, O2’s longstanding venue and Priority partner, the events served as an inspiring catalyst for O2 to explore the gig format for additional artists in the future.
