Founded in 2016, TritonLake is a marketplace enabling a network of global and sophisticated investors to identify and access differentiated alternative investment opportunities.
With an ambition to generate awareness and engage with potential partners in key markets on the journey to creating a truly global marketplace, TritonLake saw sponsorship as a tool to support this goal, identifying synergies with elite sport and Sevens Rugby.
Just like TritonLake’s platform in the investment world, Sevens is an innovation from rugby’s traditional 15-person game. Many of the stops on World Sevens Series overlapped with TritonLake’s target markets whilst Irish Rugby’s emerging Sevens Programme was on a similar journey to TritonLake itself – one to take on the best in the world!
TritonLake became the sponsor of the Irish Rugby Sevens Programme in 2021, designing a leverage programme built on the recognition that high-performance is both a foundation of international sport and the investment world within which TritonLake operates.
We leveraged this understanding and changing media consumption habits, generating personality-driven content including a podcast series, TritonLake Perform, and social content. As in business, relationships were key with support from the programme providing us with access to create this content well beyond the parameters of the sponsorship programme.
To maximise budget, we amplified activity with an earned-first media approach, focused on the newsworthiness of the Sevens. Despite the sponsorship being in its infancy, TritonLake has already generated 22 new partnerships, gaining $34 billion assets under management, directly from their sponsorship activation around the Sevens World Series.
