Music is the number one passion-point among young adults globally. After a hugely successful 2022, Coca-Cola wanted Coke Studio 2023 to be even bigger, more experience-led and more integrated than ever before. Appearing at Ireland’s biggest music festivals, Electric Picnic and Longitude, our goal was to directly engage with our audience by creating an immersive experience that was uplifting, inclusive and inspiring all while making it our most sustainable activation and diverse line-up to date showcasing 24 DJs, 9 live performances and 3 creative artists.
To do this we:
● Partnered with Gay Times to help to give a platform to unsigned LGBTQIA+ artists and to showcase their amazing talents with new audiences
● Collaborated with DesignOpp.ie, who celebrate diversity and champion people of colour in Irish Design. Their creativity inspired 3 new designs of our iconic bottle that added a whimsical dimension to our activation
● We gave back to our community by donating a portion of our recycling funds to the Irish Youth Foundation.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, this year no exception. To achieve our goals, we:
● Recycled over 90% of cans distributed at Coke Studio.
● Reused approximately 90% of the build across both festivals
● Worked with sustainably accredited suppliers.
From recycling our uniforms to using FSC certified woods and water-based inks, we ensured we were doing everything possible to minimize our environmental footprint to not only make Coke Studio the best music partnership, but also the most sustainable one.
