This is not just a sponsorship…
Ask anyone to name something M&S Food is famous for, and they will probably say Colin, Percy, chocolate puddings or train tinnies.
Further down the list is probably health – and this is what we wanted to change. But not just to tick a box with Government, or sell more apples, we’re a company of parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends – people passionate about improving the health of the nation, and in particular families.
We kicked-off our Eat Well, Play Well campaign with The FA and other home nations to inspire the UK to make healthier eating choices using the power of football.
With 79% of parents claiming their kids said they would eat what their footballing heroes eat, we’ve centred the Eat Well, Play Well campaign around our Eat Well range. Linking eating habits of much-loved footballing heroes to how they play, promoting positive healthy eating messages for kids in a way that’s engaging, relatable and helps drive change.
18 months into our partnership with The FA we have already seen:
50% increase in EAT WELL awareness on the year
11% uplift in EAT WELL awareness from Summer ’23 campaign
62% EAT WELL understanding
Number one retailer for healthy choices*
This is much more than a badging exercise. We want to drive real change and be working collaboratively with The FA while we do it.
…this is an M&S Food and The FA Partnership.
