Clean energy company Fortum was one of the sponsors of the Finnish music festival Ruisrock. As a sponsorship activity, Fortum created the Singalong Shuttle, the world’s first taxi service where you pay by singing. During the festival the Ruisrock visitors could ride the Singalong Shuttle from the city center to the festival area for free, as long as they kept on singing. The service ran on fully electric vehicles and promoted the joyfulness of EVs and Fortum Charge & Drive charging network, largest in the Nordics. The service delighted the festival visitors and became a global PR and social phenomenon. As a result, Fortum Singalong Shuttle and Ruisrock reached over 560 million people.
