As the Official Spirit of The Open, Loch Lomond Whiskies was preparing for another year activating around golf’s original Major championship. After this year’s Open was cancelled as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic,
Loch Lomond Whiskies wanted to find an innovative way to connect with golf and sports fans, to increase its visibility within the game.
Loch Lomond Whiskies was able to do this thanks to a new agreement with the European Tour, becoming the first Official Partner of the UK Swing. The partnership meant that the distiller’s exciting range of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies became visible to a global audience as the “Spirit of The Tour”, for the six events held throughout the summer months. Various digital activations and content streams were created as part of the partnership, allowing fans watching from home to “Be There In Spirit”.
As well as a range of limited-edition Exclusive Cask Selection bottles, Loch Lomond Whiskies helped ensure the safety of players, caddies and officials by providing hand-sanitiser on every tee box throughout the series, created using alcohol from the Loch Lomond distillery in Scotland.
Loch Lomond Whiskies sold 90% of their limited-edition Exclusive Cask Selection bottles within six weeks since they launched, making this one of the fastest-selling ranges to date.
