Shawna (Aspiring Player)
Shawna grew up in Walthamstow, East London, playing football from a very early age. Football helped Shawna come out of her shell, build her confidence and gain social skills she felt she was lacking. Shawna joined a boys’ team early on due to a lack of grassroots women’s teams and currently plays for the Millwall Lionesses first team. Currently Shawna,18, is being held back by injury which has seen her sit out of every game for the past few months. Despite this, Shawna’s resilience has seen her progress from team to team and is well on her way to achieving her dream of playing for England. during the Women’s World Cup X PayPal at St. George’s Park, Tatenhill, Burton upon Trent on Monday 1st April – PHOTO: Phil Mingo/PPAUK
