A major highlight of 2025 is the collaboration with the Hellenic Volleyball Federation and Metaxa Hospitality Group which further strengthen Greece’s presence on the beach volley map, embracing sports tourism trends and enhancing the visitor experience.
In May, Nations Cup brought elite European national volleyball teams to Crete, combining world-class competition with increased sports tourism activity. From November 6-9, the spotlight shifted to the island for CEV Beach Volley European Cup Final 2025 at TUI Magic Life Candia Maris, bringing together Europe’s top beach volleyball clubs and cementing Crete as a leading sports tourism destination.
Both events were part of the official calendar of the CEV (Confédération Européenne de Volleyball) and were co-organized by the Region of Crete, the Hellenic Volleyball Federation, the Municipality of Malevizi, the Metaxa Hospitality Group, and the CEV itself.
