Over the last 3 years AIB established themselves as the leading GAA and sport sponsor in Ireland. The best teams do not rest on their laurels and with the overall objective for sponsorship being to grow brand affinity and awareness, the 2017 challenge was to leverage AIB’s GAA sponsorships to engage a wider non-GAA audience whilst continuing to demonstrate our understanding of GAA to hard-core fans building brand affinity with both. The sponsorship activation was digitally led with owned, earned and paid for channels a key too in engaging the diverse and varied target audience.
