Darkness into Light proudly supported by Electric Ireland

Electric Ireland, Ireland’s leading energy provider, operates in a low interest but highly competitive price driven sector where sponsorship and CSR are critical to drive brand differentiation and advocacy. Pieta is Ireland’s leading suicide prevention charity; Electric Ireland have sponsored their flagship fundraiser Darkness into Light (DIL) since 2013. The event, a 5km walk at the darkest hour before sunrise, raises awareness of suicide and vital funds for suicide prevention. Starting in 2009 with 479 people over 200,000 took part in 2019 raising €5million+. Electric Ireland’s support has helped make a visible impact on suicide prevention while reassuring customers and elevating our brand.
