Consumption of mobile data is massive. To cater for these needs, and through surveys and insight, Telenor has developed an app where customers can handle their subscription. The Olympics was coming up and we were looking for ways we could activate our sponsorships with The Ski and The Olympic Federation. Our target was to increase the uptake of using the app. Secondly, strengthen loyalty and create greater awareness of Telenor as a top sponsor. By using the Olympic rings and alpine illustrations we created a low cost campaign offering customers 1 GB data for every medal Norway won in the alpine disciplines. With good achievements customers could pick up their free GB’s in our My Telenor app.
