The decision to create the Eco Explorers Club in association with Dublin Zoo was a natural progression of our commitment to continue to help families learn more about the importance of sustainability in a fun and interactive way; and to support them during this unprecedented time.
The online educational programme was designed to support primary school children and their parents, allowing them to continue their sustainability education from their own homes. Featuring multiple lessons given in a range of engaging formats across the subject areas of biodiversity, pollution, conservation, energy, and climate.
This programme has been one of the most inspiring campaigns for our team to work on in recent years. To witness first-hand the benefit the programme has for families across the country and to hear their stories is deeply rewarding. For colleagues to see the agility and speed with which we responded to the Covid-19 pandemic has also yielded hugely positive results in terms of internal engagement.
The Eco Explorers Club was created to solve a problem faced by customers, their children and our charity partner during extraordinary times. The club took commitment, creativity and passion to deliver and while it may have started during a very difficult and challenging chapter, we are immensely proud of the positive outcome it has had on children and families right across Ireland. Similarly, the programme has delivered a significant sustainability campaign that will continue to inspire and educate children on the beauty of our planet and our role in protecting it.
