Irish Life is one of Ireland’s leading financial services companies with an ambition to help more people in Ireland enjoy a better life today and build better futures. As we don’t have a bricks and mortar retail network, it makes it hard for people to experience Irish Life in the every day. We are relatively new players in the health insurance space too, so Irish Life looked to sponsorship to help us give people the chance to experience the Irish Life brand and position us a key player in the health insurance market.
The Dublin Marathon was a natural sponsorship fit that could support our objectives and with exercise at its core, the health and fitness benefits were obvious.
We got to work straight away to establish Irish Life as the sponsor, reach a mass audience through earned and paid media and bring Irish Life’s people and stakeholders on the journey. We developed a clear communications strategy, advertised across broad reach media and delivered a highly impactful and emotional experience for runners and supporters on Marathon Day.
The sponsorship delivered continued support for Dublin City and national charities, mass brand reach and visibility, and significant increases in brand consideration. It also allowed us to really engage with our employees, become more attractive for new talent and build our employer brand.
As ordinary people achieved something extraordinary, we were with them every step of their 42km journey.
