Three x Chelsea FC WSYN

Women’s Football has been on an upward trajectory for the past decade. The latest achievement came this year in the form of the UEFA Women’s World Cup that attracted a record-breaking 275 million viewers.

People aren’t just watching the game either, they are getting involved too. There were 950,000 tweets between 2020 and 2022 talking about the women’s game.

However, despite the increasing engagement in the game, women’s sport is still being placed second in terms of investment, attention, and support.

As a proud sponsor of the Chelsea men’s and women’s football teams, Three wanted to leverage it’s Chelsea partnership to increase recognition within women’s sport and showcase the amazing talent that exists in the industry at every level.

Three put out a call to women in football, to step up, stand out and be seen. This came in the form of the #WeSeeYou Network. A positive, culture-shifting initiative that looks to build a long-term community of role models and a culture of recognition for more women in football that permeates beyond the pitch.

And the results speak for themselves. If Three put the call out, women answered in strength. Three received over 100,000 clicks through to the WSYN website, generated off the back of 1,202 pieces of coverage and 8.5 million views of their launch video.

This translated to over 700 nominations and 90 attendees at WSYN events, where likeminded women, with a passion for the game, were brought together to connect over their love for the sport.
