OKX and Manchester City’s partnership is underpinned through its shared pursuit of being the most innovative brands in their respective fields. Artificial Intelligence is unfamiliar to many football fans, therefore providing a huge opportunity for both parties to pioneer this space.
With this front of mind ‘Unseen City: Echoes of Blue’ was born – an immersive, digital destination with the aim of bringing fans closer to their heroes, whilst simultaneously educating on Web3.
To offer global fans something truly novel, Manchester City player avatars of Kevin de Bruyne, Jack Grealish, Rúben Dias, Ederson Moraes and Alex Greenwood, all powered by AI-technology, were built into the experience – a first-to-market amongst football clubs trialing generative AI.
Fans could ask avatars questions about Manchester City and OKX, plus get help to compete challenges within the environment for a chance to win epic prizes including a stadium tour guided by club legend Joleon Lescott and a chance to play at the City Football Academy.
‘Unseen City’ saw over 38,000 sessions and 36,000 plus sweepstake entries. The highly engaging experience had an average 2:53 dwell time per session, eclipsing the industry benchmark by more than double. There were also almost a million total interactions within the immersive space.
With over 3,800 articles and almost 85 million social impressions, ‘Unseen City’ didn’t just gain attention, it changed perceptions.
The activation is a testament to the partnership’s continued efforts in bringing high-value experiences to fans globally, by integrating the most advanced technology in the industry.
