As the official food delivery partner of the UEFA Europa League, Just Eat created ‘Deliver At Home: Any Given Wednesday’ aimed to drive relevance amongst Just Eat’s key target audience, increase awareness of the brand’s association with football and deliver impactful results for the brand.
Through a collaboration with Irish footballer Shay Given, Just Eat produced ‘Deliver At Home: Any Given Wednesday’, a long form piece of content centred on Irish supporters being questioned in the media, with Given stepping in to deliver a rousing speech to a dressing room of fans, calling on them to deliver the true party atmosphere in Dublin which they have become known for, when the UEL Final takes place.
The content also featured recognisable football and media talent such as Laura Woods & Ben Foster, and was slapstick and satirical in its nature. Just Eat carefully leveraged all featured talent’s wide reach and social media following to both launch the campaign and give it further credibility with football fans. A targeted OOH campaign in Dublin along with tactical media partnerships and a strategic PR campaign helped leverage the content and wider campaign even further.
The campaign itself exceeded all expectations across the board. The content went viral, smashing set KPIs and delivering on outlined objectives. It received both national and international media attention and obtained thousands of engagements on social media.
