Electric Ireland leveraged its sponsorship of the GAA’s Higher Education Championships (HEC) to increase brand visibility and engagement during a key sales period January to March; aiming to reassure existing customers they’re with the right energy provider and to appeal to potential customers. Employing a digital first strategy that elevated these Championships whilst creating a suite of digital assets to employ across owned, earned and paid for channels, Electric Ireland were able to take full advantage of a quiet time in the GAA calendar to achieve cut through and build real brand engagement and affinity.
