Plogger – The app for sustainability and good health

New problems call for new solutions. Society faces serious environmental challenges, and as an insurance company we are among the first to notice these effects. In the first quarter of 2018 we experienced several incidents / claims that directly relate to climate change / pollution. At the same time, lack of exercise and an unhealthy diet is a growing societal problem that Gjensidige focuses on. We wanted to work on these two challenges through the Norwegian Athletics Association, and we therefore created the app “Plogger”. The app keeps track of the amount of exercise and the amount of garbage you pick up while you are out jogging. This is called “plogging” – picking garbage while jogging.
