Global Partnership Marketing Agency Creates Campaign Aimed at Educating Football Fans on the Risks Posed by Water Complacency

Lagardère Plus, the global partnership marketing agency of Lagardère Sports and Entertainment, has today helped launch a new marketing campaign called Closer Than You Think that will see water technology company Xylem and Manchester City FC educate football fans on the risks posed by water complacency.
Through creative, multimedia storytelling, Lagardère Plus has helped create for Xylem an initiative that will show audiences how every country on earth faces serious – and escalating – water issues, such as lack of access to clean drinking water and resilience challenges in the face of increasing severe weather patterns. The campaign kicked off today with the launch of a dramatic video created by Brave, the award-winning creative agency that was acquired by Lagardère Plus in 2017. It features Manchester City players Sergio Agüero, David Silva and Ilkay Gündoğan and is filmed in the iconic Manchester City dressing room. The Changing Room features the players being surprised by a projection-mapped display which surrounds them with dystopian visions of the future – worlds faced with severe drought and flooding.
