Nike renews partnership for the new season
Today, Tuesday July 5th, the presentation of the partnership renovation between LaLiga and Nike, as its global sponsor, took place at the headquarters of LaLiga. At the same time, the official ball for the 2016/2017 season was presented. Javier Tebas, the President of LaLiga, along with Adolfo Bara, General Director of Sales and Marketing, and Albert Baronet, Nike´s Marketing Director for the South of Europe, were in charge of presenting the agreement.
“We are proud to continue with Nike and of course to have them trust our league as a promotional act for their brand,” declared Javier Tebas. The President of LaLiga added that the symbiosis between both brands “Is going to help both of us be more competitive”.
“We are delighted to extend this partnership. Nike is the leading brand in football and is continually innovating through the relationships we hold with the world’s best players, clubs, federations and leagues. This partnership, which began in the 1996 – 97 season, will further strengthen LaLiga and football in Spain as a whole,” said Lorenzo Moretti, Vice President and General Manager of Nike Football in Western Europe.
Adolfo Bara, General Director for Sales and Marketing, used the act to explain his involvement with Nike in international programs that help bring football all around the world, mainly among kids. “For LaLiga it is very important the communication capacity as well as the worldwide potential of a brand such as Nike,” he added.
