Limelight Sports, the agency of the active world has brought in Marc Hope Consulting (The Winning Tape ltd) to work on the sponsorship acquisition programme for the agency’s owned campaigns. These include The London Duathlon and London Triathlon, Blenheim Triathlon and Etape Caledonia in Scotland, the original closed road sportive, which remains one of the UK’s leading cycling events.
Marc Hope has extensive experience working in the sponsorship market. After the record sponsorship breaking Millennium Dome, Marc joined Fasttrack (now CSM) in 2000 where he built a team successfully selling a range of exclusive UK Olympic Sport rights, headed by UK Athletics working with brands such as Aviva, McCain, PZ Cussons, Lucozade, Red Bull, London GLA and Scholl.
In January 2011, Marc moved to SMAM (Sports Marketing and Management) to spearhead, with their CEO, the 44 million pounds sponsor sales for The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Marc then served as a key Director of The Sports Consultancy (TSC) from February 2015, heading up their start up sponsorship rights sales department winning major representation contracts from UK Athletics and several others including the highly successful 2017 World Athletics Championships in London, the IAAF 2018 World Indoor Athletics Championships in Birmingham, The 2019 European Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow, British Swimming and The UCI World Road Cycling Championships Yorkshire 2019 His multi year Muller deal across the Athletics portfolio was a major highlight, as well as Muller signing with Team GB going into Rio.
