The first expert research of sponsorship in Russia was prepared for ESA members.
At the end of 2019, the Russian agency Sponsor Consulting (member of the European Sponsorship Association), Strategium Conference (organizer of major events in the field of marketing and sponsorship) with informational support from the NAOM, conducted the first expert research of the sponsorship market in Russia.
Similarly with the research of the European sponsorship market, which showed an increase of 8.7%* in 2018, agencies, copyright holders and brands were surveyed.
In total, for the period August – November, 2019, 50 organizers of federal and regional events, 32 representatives of brands and 42 agencies took part in the survey. Participants answered 10 questions in each questionnaire; three different questionnaires were prepared for three groups of respondents. The survey was conducted anonymously.

“Marketing budgets are not growing, sports market is in fever, young consumers are interested in savings. Conscious consumption and sharing are gaining popularity. The amount of information is many times greater than the opportunities to realize and absorb it which means that those people and information channels are being neglected.
How does partnership and sponsorship of events feel in these circumstances? What to bet on in 2020 if standard tools do not work? We decided to ask these questions to the participants of the sponsorship market in Russia. This is the first attempt to understand how the partnership market in Russia is changing.”
