Sports camera brand Veo commits to a new four-year agreement, while Hyped renews support for girl’s football
Surrey FA are delighted to announce that Hyped Marketing have committed to sponsorship of girls football in Surrey for the 2020/21 season.
The Hyped team will continue working with Surrey FA throughout the 2020/21 season with plenty of exciting events, social media competitions and more over the coming months.
Hyped share Surrey FA’s goal of working to raise the profile of female football, and encourage more girls to get involved in the sport from a young age.
As part of the agreement, Hyped Marketing will continue as title sponsors of Surrey FA’s Girls County Cup competitions. They will also support Surrey FA’s work in delivering two tournaments for 5-11-year-old girls this season.
The partnership with Hyped Marketing developed greatly over the 2019/20 season. They helped to live-stream cup draws, assisted by players from women and girls’ clubs in the county. After such a promising start, Surrey FA was disappointed to see a sizeable chunk of the Girls’ finals cancelled following the Coronavirus outbreak and as the national lockdown approached. Lockdown saw a complete hiatus in grassroots football, with fixtures not taking place. Together, Surrey FA and Hyped were forced to find alternate ways to support the clubs and continue promoting girls’ football. This support took the form of content including online social media competitions and webinars to keep everyone connected, albeit from a distance.
As we settle into a new normal way of life, Surrey FA are delighted that that Hyped have committed to supporting football again this season. Hyped will continue to consistently promote girls’ football and offer their expertise through regular marketing training sessions for clubs and workforce.
On the renewed sponsorship, Hyped Marketing’s Managing Director Jamie Barlow said:
“It was a bit of a no-brainer for us to carry this sponsorship into a second year. It’s become more than just a sponsorship; it’s a great relationship and we’re very excited for everything to come this season. Girls’ football has a higher profile than ever. It’s really excellent to see so many young players keen to get involved.”
Sally Lockyer, CEO, Surrey FA, added,
“The support from Hyped Marketing over the last 12 months has been fantastic. Despite the challenges which recent months have provided, they have helped us to deliver qualitative, innovative support for our stakeholders. We have developed strong ties between our respective organisations, and we share a passion for delivering the best possible experiences for our stakeholders. At a time where there is a great deal of instability in sport, and wider society, this level of commitment is vital for ensuring that the upward trend in female football participation continues.”
Over the next few months Surrey FA will be sharing a number of exciting projects and competitions, as well as content around the Hyped Girls County Cup competitions. Keep an eye on the Hyped and Surrey FA social media channels to make sure you don’t miss out.
Surrey FA has also agreed a new partnership with Veo, which will see the County FA receive usage of Veo’s cameras in a unique sponsorship package created to support grassroots football in the county – and to spark awareness about high-quality and affordable video analysis technology now available for lower league teams.
This four-year agreement, the first of its kind with any CFA, highlights Veo’s long-term commitment to developing the grassroots game within Surrey.
The agreement will include usage of the Veo camera kit, complete with tripod and subscription, as well as funding to invest back into Surrey’s grassroots football programs. The cameras will be used to capture footage from our County Cup fixtures and offered to clubs to make use of themselves.
Veo is an affordable and portable football camera which suits both elite and grassroots level football clubs. The recordings made with Veo can be easily downloaded and shared with friends and teammates for both tactical improvement and social engagement around the team.
The Veo cameras will be circulating “on the road” throughout the period to give local county players the chance to watch themselves play and coaches the chance to analyse and improve. Surrey FA will share details on how to register interest in trying one of the cameras throughout the season.
Through the partnership, Surrey FA affiliated clubs are eligible to receive a £100 discount on the camera. To receive a discount, clubs should simply contact Veo and reference Surrey FA.
Surrey FA’s Head of Marketing & Partnerships James Chadwick commented:
“We are thrilled to be working with Veo for another four years, and for their continued commitment to grassroots football in the county. Through the agreement, we will continue to be able to offer our clubs the opportunity to harness this impressive piece of technology and gain access to the kind of high-quality and affordable video analysis which simply did not exist previously”.
Surrey FA were one of the first five County FAs selected by Veo for a partnership last season, due to its position amongst the UK’s most forward-thinking football associations – with a remarkably high level of both participation and engagement. Since this time, Veo have extended their reach through partnerships with over 15 County FAs and already have over 1000 clubs signed up to their platform.
Oli Perkins, UK Market Manager, Veo, said:
“Veo are extremely excited to be extending our partnership with Surrey FA. The partnership has been very successful for us over the last year, even in the extraordinary circumstances which we find ourselves in. We can clearly see an upward trend in Veo users at both Youth and Adult level and long may it continue, to help develop football through such a successful CFA.”
The ultimate goal for the partnership is to allow more local players to hone their skills with the most high-tech hardware and software available on the market, allowing them to punch above their weight and raise the standard of grassroots football in the county.
