Inclusion is a key pillar of ESA’s mission, and in 2025 we launched an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) strategy. It began with an industry survey, focusing on how the experience of professionals can differ depending on their ethnicity, the results of which you can read below. This led to two events being scheduled for April and May 2026, along with the publication of a ‘toolkit for change’.
This page will be updated as ESA’s EDI strategy is continuously developed and as measures are implemented.

YOUR TOOLKIT FOR CHANGE
The ESA Organisational Culture Self-Assessment Tool (2026) is designed to help organisations reflect on how inclusion shows up in their culture. Whether used in a team meeting or a facilitated workshop, the toolkit invites discussion about what’s working, what’s missing, and what small steps could make a difference.
You can access the full 33-page publication by clicking here, but we recommend that you approach this process step by step, by reading the Introduction and then completing the Modules one at a time via the sequence below. You can also scroll down to access the Appendices.
Good luck – and don’t forget to join the ESA Webinar on 6 May for more information on how to get started in making your organisation more inclusive.
