Brands are no stranger to football sponsorship, with the rise of activity across women’s football continues to grow. However, sponsorship must be more than financial support, and the #WeSeeYou Network (WSYN) in partnership with Chelsea FC Women is Three’s commitment to championing women in football.
The WSYN is a culture-shifting initiative, building a community of role models, celebrating the abundant – but often unseen – women in this field, recognising the women who are the backbone of their communities, and nurturing the talent who are the future.
Launched in 2021, WSYN set out to bring unstoppable women and their support networks together, shining a light on their remarkable stories. In 2022, we launched season 2. Through a rousing film, we celebrated how women have been championing women in football for generations. Our script was penned by poet laureate, Dame Carol Ann Duffy, who told the beautiful, but challenging history of the women’s game, culminating in our present-day heroes and a rousing call to action to the next generation of trailblazers for the WSYN.
Our launch film and supporting content delivered 62.9M+ impressions & 52.9M+ views, drove talkability with 1.4Billion PR reach and 36 pieces of UK coverage. Notably, the campaign landed a front-page feature in The Guardian setting the benchmark for future campaigns.
Most importantly, we drove 180K visitors to our WSYN Hub, receiving 1,200+ nominations across three available categories. 90 winners participated in an unforgettable weekend experience, building meaningful connections with like-minded women and developing skills to support their bright futures.
