The Pfizer Cycle 2025

The Pfizer Ireland Cycle has become a flagship initiative for colleague engagement, combining health, teamwork, and purpose in a way that delivers lasting cultural and organisational impact.

Launched in 2019 to support colleague Liam Ryan, the event now honours his legacy while raising vital funds for the Irish Cancer Society. In 2025, over 250 colleagues from Pfizer’s four Irish sites cycled 285km across two days, raising more than €425,000, bringing the total to €870,000 across four years.

But its true impact extends far beyond fundraising. The cycle provides colleagues with a unifying challenge that strengthens morale, builds cross-site connections, and fosters a culture of resilience and pride. Pre-event training, inclusive opportunities for non-cyclists, and strong internal communications ensure broad participation and accessibility. Senior leaders ride alongside colleagues, reinforcing visible commitment to well-being and engagement.

The initiative exceeded its SMART objectives, surpassing fundraising and participation targets while also achieving deeper outcomes: improved colleague motivation, stronger collaboration across teams, and heightened pride in Pfizer’s values. The event has become a cultural fixture, embedding healthier lifestyles, inclusivity, and shared purpose into everyday working life.

Externally, it enhances Pfizer’s reputation as a socially responsible employer, recognised publicly by the Irish Cancer Society and celebrated across media and social platforms. Internally, it has become a source of pride and loyalty, strengthening retention and attraction. Ultimately, the Pfizer Ireland Cycle exemplifies employee engagement at its best, meaningful, inclusive, and sustainable, delivering measurable results alongside lasting cultural benefits.
