After 14 years as title sponsor of the League of Ireland, SSE Airtricity needed to reignite meaning behind its partnership. Visibility was high, but emotional energy was low.
The solution was Powered by People, a storytelling platform celebrating the real heroes of Irish football: the fans, volunteers and families who give the League its power.
Through five cinematic short films, each rooted in a different community, SSE Airtricity showcased football’s heart: passion, fun, diversity and community. By connecting human energy to brand energy, the campaign reframed SSE as a sponsor that celebrates people, not itself.
Distributed across digital, social and club channels, the combined reached of over 9.6 million, drove highest ever community association and was organically shared by participating clubs and fans, proof of true emotional ownership. More than content, it became a cultural platform that is scalable, sustainable and unmissably human.
