Just Feel the Urjj Challenge

Müller FRijj’s “Just Feel the Urjj Challenge” campaign redefined the gaming experience by celebrating silliness, humour, and fun. In collaboration with Overwolf, a leading platform for developers to build gaming analytics apps/dashboards that gamers can integrate into AAA games, the campaign extended FRijj’s playful “Just Feel the Urjj” messaging into the gaming world, with a light-hearted counter-narrative to the grind-heavy culture of competitive online gaming.

As an extension of the wider “Just Feel the Urjj” brand campaign, which positioned Müller FRijj as a mischievous, nonsensical escape from life’s pressures, the gaming activation brought this ethos to life in a way that resonated with young gamers.

The campaign centrepiece was the “Just Feel the Urjj Challenge,” a four-week contest across Fortnite, League of Legends, and Rocket League. Unlike traditional tournaments, the challenge rewarded players for completing quirky and unconventional in-game tasks – such as emoting mid-battle, pulling off backflips, or catching fish – rather than focusing on victory. Players earned Buff Points and raffle tickets for completing challenges, with FRijj-related prizes, including branded bottles, mini fridges, and high-end gaming hardware.

Real-time contextual messaging delivered through Overwolf’s innovative technology kept players engaged and involved. A multi-channel media strategy, including curated influencer partnerships with DeluxPlays and FriendlyMachine (combined following 4+ million) and high-impact in-play ads, amplified the campaign’s reach.

The campaign achieved record-breaking lifts in brand metrics, including awareness and purchase intent, while significantly reducing negative sentiment. By embedding itself into gaming culture, FRijj positioned itself as a playful and refreshing choice for gamers.
