DP World’s Beyond Boundaries Initiative is an active, global programme redefining how sponsorship can create lasting social purpose by using logistics to deliver access and opportunity for grassroots cricket.
Launched with global ambassador Sachin Tendulkar, the initiative has flourished in 2025, turning DP World’s own shipping containers into community cricket hubs. Each container is refurbished, filled with bats, pads, helmets and gloves, and delivered to grassroots clubs and schools across the world. It is a literal demonstration of DP World’s promise to “change what’s possible.”
To this point, 12 repurposed containers have been delivered across eight countries and four continents, providing more than 3,000 cricket kits and engaging over 15,000 young players. The programme remains firmly on track to meet its target of 50 containers by 2028, with equal support pledged for girls’ and boys’ cricket.
This year’s highlight saw England legend Sir James Anderson headline a Beyond Boundaries activation at Lord’s ahead of the ICC World Test Championship Final, where 250 kits were donated to UK state schools, including a refurbished container for a school in his own home county of Cumbria.
Beyond Boundaries is proving how a global business can combine expertise, empathy, and partnership to move the game forward, inspiring the next generation and showing that smart logistics can create social change.
