AIG’s #EffortIsEqual Campaign

AIG has a proven track record of backing both men’s and women’s sports through its sponsorship portfolio in Ireland. It’s sponsorship of Dublin GAA, Irish golf, Irish tennis and Irish badminton has always accounted for both male and female codes, while it is also a sponsor of the 20 x 20 campaign which aims to increase participation in, attendance at and media coverage of female sport. In 2019 AIG brought all of this work together under the umbrella of its #EffortIsEqual campaign which aims to promote equality in sport.

16 May 2019; Dublin stars Niamh Collins and Jonny Cooper were in Parnell Park today to launch AIG’s new #EffortIsEqual campaign. #EffortIsEqual recognises that the effort, commitment and dedication amongst male and female players is equal. AIG also announced their new sponsorship which will see AIG become the Official Insurance Partner of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association.
