The Marketing Partnerships team provides industry-leading client service to UEFA and its club competitions’ sponsors, ensuring the full and seamless delivery of all contractual rights and obligations. We strive to streamline and enhance processes, build meaningful relationships, and continuously increase value.
The role
As Marketing Partnerships Manager, you will be focused primarily on the day-to-day management of UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League sponsor partnerships, ensuring best-in-class delivery of their 360-degree marketing campaigns. You will be building strong relationships and effective collaboration processes, both internally and externally with key stakeholders. You will report to the Senior Marketing Partnerships Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Working alongside UEFA’s commercial partners and their activation agencies to ensure contractual rights are delivered to the highest standards
• Establishing key success criteria for each partner and delivering against these by understanding each partners’ businesses and their marketing and sponsorship objectives
• Demonstrating tangible return on investment to the partners via research and insights
• Managing the competition-related campaign approval processes for partners across various activations, ranging from onsite activation to the implementation of digital rights
• Preparing and providing input for regular updates to UEFA, to ensure alignment across all key sponsorship topics
• Working closely with other departments to enhance the UEFA marketing partnerships programme and keep them updated on partner progress, successes and challenges
• Managing team members with a focus on their professional and personal development
The candidate
Ideally, you have experience working in a sponsorship and/or marketing role in the sports and/or entertainment industry and are familiar with delivering international events. A background or a broad understanding and knowledge of the sports betting and gambling sectors would be an advantage. You are familiar with digital marketing and how sponsors can best exploit digital sponsorship rights. It is important that you can efficiently manage projects and your time and are capable of balancing multiple tasks and prioritising them accordingly. Likewise, you can communicate effectively and present your ideas with ease, understanding the importance of putting clients first and delivering work at the highest standards. Finally, you have a team-player attitude and proactive approach, ready to offer new ideas and solutions to add value to UEFA’s Club Competitions sponsorship programme.
The position will be either based at TEAM’s Lucerne or London office and will involve some international travel.
