This role is an opportunity to join the club in the most exciting time in its history. West Ham United is looking to expand their sponsorship and recruit a Partnership Development Manager to secure sponsorship deals for the Women’s team. This role will report into Head of Partnership Development and will be at the heart of the action and be involved in the whole sponsorship sales process from identification of potential sponsors & leads through to contract negotiation.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Head of Partnership Development to deliver sponsorship and sales objectives, i.e., building pipeline and increasing partnership income.
Identify and develop leads to secure high value sponsorship deals for the Women’s teams.
Pro-actively source potential sponsors, select and qualify prospects, secure face to face meetings, build relationships and with Head of Partnership Development through to successful acquisition
Develop bespoke sponsorship proposals to suit the needs of individual companies. This will involve working together with various departments within West Ham United to structure suitable proposals.
Support brands to think creatively as to how to reach and engage a large audience.
Establish relationships with key sponsor prospects in the medium to long-term; maintain long-lasting relationships with existing sponsors to expand lifecycle of sponsorship relationship.
Coordinate agencies in relation to West Ham United’s commercial programme.
Develop and augment sales materials support from the Business Intelligence department
Improve synergies across the team to include research and analysis of targeted opportunities
Maintain and further develop a high-performance culture in the sponsorship team and collaborate effectively with internal teams that are relied upon to deliver objectives and plans
Develop strong external networks, ensuring that West Ham United’s opportunities and ways of working are well known in the industry to help foster inbound leads.
Maintain and develop knowledge of emerging sponsorship categories, industry trends, and applicable industry research.
Input into and challenge the strategic plans and annual objectives across the business and the team
