The European sponsorship industry has expressed a slight increase in confidence after the ups and downs of 2023 in ESA’s year-ending Sponsorship Sentiment Tracker survey.
The overall confidence rating was measured at 7.2 out of 10, compared with 7.1 this time last year. There was an increase in 10/10 ratings, from 2.8% to 4.7%, but also an increase in respondents who scored their confidence under 5/10, from 4% to 5.9%.
Sentiment was on the up or steady among all three main industry groups. Agency confidence remained static at 7.41, while the Brands score was elevated from 7.21 to 7.36 and Rights Holders confidence (the lowest of the three values) crept from 6.88 to 6.93.
