On the 15th and 16th of September, the Wörthersee lake will be crossed by hundreds of swimmers. The international series “X-Waters” has chosen one of the most famous lakes in Austria and therefore also Carinthia as their destination. The right challenge – the 17 km track from Velden to Klagenfurt – is accepted by swimmers from all over the world. Sponsor Consulting, a member of ESA, started working with organizer this event.
X-Waters always chooses magnificent places for its participants. Baikal Swim, Volga Swim, Artic Swim – Wöhrtersee lake has been added to the series as a European pearl. Breathtaking beauty of the surrounding nature, crystal clear water from the Alpine glacier together with an excellent geographical location – in about three hours you can reach Salzburg, Vienna, Venice, Munich – make Wörthersee lakes for sports tourists extremely attractive.
In the best traditions of X-Waters the distances also in Carinthia are from point A to point B. No swimming in rounds! The participants can register for three distances 3 km, 9 km, 17 km. In addition to the event itself, the Expo and a big party at the end of the swim are planned. The region takes care of the overnight stays for swimmers and organizers in the postseason, with the city of Klagenfurt as the co-organizer.
X-Waters is the leading organizer of international open water swimming starts in Russia. The organizer has ran 1 event in 2016 and 5 mass events in the season 2017. In 2018 it will hold 9 open-water events in Russia, Armenia and Austria. Especially worth noting are: Volga swim with more than 1500 participants; Arctic Swim – the ultimate race on the end of the Earth in the Arctic Ocean with + 6-8 °C temperature of the water; Baikal Swim – the swim through the deepest lake on the planet with coldish water. On the swim map are also such water bodies as Seliger lake and Sevan lake.
X-waters gives inspiring challenges to anybody: over 2500 participants have swam 7,172,336 meters together with X-Waters. The aim is to help people to do extraordinary things and swim the most famous and impressive natural water bodies – rivers, lakes, bays and straits. The mission of the company is to create inspiring ambitious goals, a source of energy and motivation to change life for the better.
Note that the X-Waters actively cooperates with charitable foundations. For example, the company organizes events in support of athletes with Down Syndrome. In October 2017 X-Waters held the challenge #Swim30Challenge to help the “Syndrome of love” fund. The event was aimed at raising funds for a trip to the INAS Swimming Championships (Mexico) for children with Down Syndrome.
In addition, any swimming race participant can become a fundraiser on a special platform “Do it!”and dedicate a race to charity.
