New partnership builds on Allianz Ireland’s long-standing support for sport and communities across Ireland

Allianz Ireland has been announced as the new title club sponsor of Terenure College RFC’s men’s team for the 2026/27 season. The partnership brings together Allianz and one of Ireland’s leading community-based sporting clubs and reflects Allianz Ireland’s wider commitment to supporting sport, participation and the communities that surround it.
Under the new partnership, Allianz branding will feature on the Terenure men’s team jersey as the club competes in the Energia All-Ireland League. The new jersey will make its competitive debut when Terenure takes on Cork Constitution at Temple Hill on 26 September.
The announcement comes at an exciting time for Terenure College RFC. Founded in 1940, the club has steadily progressed through the Irish league system over the decades to establish itself among the country’s leading club sides. Allianz’s support will help the men’s squad build on recent successes as they target further silverware in the seasons ahead.
Sport has been a long-standing part of Allianz Ireland’s relationship with communities across the country. Through a broad portfolio of partnerships and initiatives, Allianz supports opportunities for people to participate in sport, stay active, and remain connected to their communities.
The Terenure partnership complements that existing work, supporting a club with a strong emphasis on participation, development and community alongside its success at senior level.
Speaking about the new partnership, Mark Brennan, Head of Marketing at Allianz, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Terenure College RFC. Sport has a very important role to play in bringing people together and creating strong, connected communities, and clubs like Terenure are at the heart of that. Terenure combines an impressive sporting tradition with a really strong community around the club, from its youngest players right through to the senior team. For Allianz, this partnership sits naturally alongside the broader work we already do across Irish sport and communities. We’re looking forward to supporting the club and everyone involved with it over the season ahead.”
Speaking on the partnership, Brian Moroney, Head of Sponsorship, Terenure College RFC, said: “We are delighted to welcome Allianz as a partner of Terenure College RFC. Allianz has a proud record of supporting sport, from grassroots programmes and the next generation of Irish athletes to its landmark partnership with rugby through Allianz Stadium. This partnership is a fantastic affiliation for our club and strongly aligns with our values, our community and our ambition for the future. We are incredibly proud to have Allianz on board.”
Speaking on the partnership, John Cadell, Club President at Terenure College RFC, said: “Having a partner like Allianz on board means a great deal to everyone at the club. After the season we’ve just had, this support gives the squad and coaching team real momentum heading into 2026/27. We’re grateful to Allianz for backing us and excited about what we can achieve together.”
