Millar, who won the award in 2016 for ‘The Racer’ said: “The Cycling Book of the Year category for 2017 has a very varied list of books. It will certainly be a tough job for me and my fellow judges to pick just one to win, with each offering their own unique perspective on the fantastic world of cycling. I wish all the short listed books the best of luck and I know it’s not going to be an easy decision.”
Joining Millar to judge the cycling category is Rugby World Cup-winning captain and keen cyclist Martin Johnson, BBC sports commentator Simon Brotherton and renowned sports presenter Jill Douglas.
Peter Denton, Region Manager, Maserati North Europe commented “Maserati are proud to sponsor such a prestigious award. It is a fantastic line-up of books and having won it last year, we’re confident David will help select a worthy winner alongside his fellow judges.”
David Willis, Chairman of the Cross Sports Book Awards added: “I am delighted to see that we have secured such a well-respected group of judges to help us celebrate 15 years of the book awards.”
The winner will be announced at the 15th annual Cross Sports Book Awards, which take place at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 24th May 2017.
