What do we really mean when we talk about ‘talent’ in sponsorship? This session will cut through the confusion, unpacking the differences between celebrities, influencers and creators. Our panel will explore how to define talent, how to harness it effectively, and how to align the right people with the right brand objectives.
In this ESA Breakfast, an expert panel will also examine how brands can move beyond chasing quick wins and start building creator partnerships for longevity, scale and impact.
The expert panel will feature two brand representatives as Onyekachi Nwanokwu, Senior Social and Community Manager at Ellesse, is joined by Safraz Ali, Marketing & Communications Lead for Hublot UK & Ireland.
Onyekachi has over 10 years’ experience in brand and talent management, content creation and activations. She started as an intern at Adidas and ELLE magazine to a career spanning a breadth of fashion, luxury to high street, and beauty including Stella McCartney to Tangle Teezer.
Safraz’s previous experience over the past decade includes Nike, Roc Nation and Creative Artists Agency (CAA), working with key opinion leaders, athletes and artists across various campaigns.
An agent’s perspective will be provided by Chelsey Williams, Co-Founder and Talent Director at Pops Talent, while the panel will be completed by Jay Taglé.
Jay is a London-based image strategist, stylist and lifestyle/fashion creator. His work bridges fashion, culture and lifestyle through forward-thinking storytelling and refined creative direction. He has collaborated with global brands including Nike, Puma, Uniqlo, L’Oréal, Lenovo, Nissan and Pepsi, bringing authenticity and a tastemaker’s perspective to modern influence and creativity.
Chelsey runs a boutique talent management agency representing a new generation of artists, creatives and digital creators. With over a decade of experience across leading agencies including Gleam Futures and Select Model Management, Chelsey has developed a reputation for her people-first, strategic approach to celebrity and creator careers.
The panel will be moderated by Ellen Topley, Senior Director, Talent Partnerships & Influencer Marketing at CAA Brand Consulting.
Ellen is a sport and entertainment marketing specialist with vast experience working with global brands and celebrities, athletes, content creators, influencers and key opinion leaders to create best in business campaigns, partnerships and activations.
