Patrick Pierce – VP, Marketing Partnerships at Etihad Airways
Patrick Pierce serves as VP, Marketing Partnerships for Etihad Airways, the National Airline of the UAE.
Pierce is responsible for the airline’s strategic marketing investments and business development efforts with other brands, sport properties, tourism bodies, fashion events, arts and entertainment, exhibitions and talent.
Patrick joined Etihad from Aon, where he led the firm’s partnership with Manchester United. Prior to Aon, Pierce worked in sponsorship, promotions, public relations, media and advertising for Allstate Insurance, IEG, McDonald’s and the Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games.
Pierce earned an MBA from University of Notre Dame and a bachelors degree from Indiana University.
Nick Pinder, VP Director of Partnerships EMEA at City Football Group
Nick joined City Football Group in 2014 and currently leads a Partnerships team of 15 sports marketing professionals across the EMEA region, with offices in Manchester, London and Abu Dhabi. He and the team have a focus on new commercial revenue opportunities and best-in-class management to an expanding and high-profile portfolio of business Partners.
Prior to CFG, Nick worked for five years as an Associate Director at Brand Learning Partners Inc, a Marketing Capability Consultancy recently acquired by Accenture. During his time there he designed and developed capability enhancing programmes (across the marketing mix) for global marketing functions at the likes of Shell, Heineken and Novo Nordisk.
Whilst at Brand Learning Nick was also awarded one of only thirty annual Scholarships with the Marketing Academy, a twelve-month programme targeted at emerging leaders within the industry.
Nick began his career at Fast Track, a sports agency now known as Chime Sports Marketing. Chime is one of the largest worldwide sports agency networks and boasts prestigious clients such as HSBC and LandRover. There he spent almost four years exclusively focused on Lucozade Sport’s association with the Premier League and with leading mass participation running races throughout the UK.
Nick grew up in Norfolk before moving to Leeds University to study Politics.
He now lives in Hampshire with his wife and three children.
