The modern sponsorship landscape requires a multitude of different skills, and ESA today launches its new Sales Certificate in order to equip sponsorship practitioners with key learnings to enhance their selling potential.
The 4 week course is conducted across 4 mornings per week, and is a practical certification designed and developed to support the needs of the sponsorship sales professional. The modular framework guides students through the sales process and teaches key skills such as developing the proposition, identifying ‘fit’, as well as presenting and closing techniques.
Karen Earl, ESA Chairman, commented “The ESA Sales Certificate is a welcome addition to our portfolio of professional qualification courses. It’s an ideal opportunity for those who regularly contact us regarding their specific needs in the area of sponsorship sales. Always striving to improve standards within the sponsorship industry, ESA is pleased to be able to provide another Certificate course to complement its ESA Diploma and ESA Arts Sponsorship Certificate.”
The course is delivered in partnership with Think! Sponsorship, and Catherine Hawkins, Think! Sponsorship MD, added “We’re excited to have worked with ESA in developing the course and have used our knowledge of delivering training to create a relevant framework. As the industry continues to grow and develop, it’s important to keep building tools and mechanisms for practitioners to enhance their own skillsets. We believe the course will play its part in doing that and we look forward to the first edition in January 2017”
The ESA Sales Certificate is now ready for its first intake of students, and more information can be found at http://sponsorship.org/sales_certificate/sc-home/.
