The European Sponsorship Association (ESA), the membership body that seeks to inspire, unite and grow the sponsorship industry, held its AGM on Wednesday 4th July with the main order of business being the election of one new member to its 15-person Board of Directors, and a new member proposition.
Board Director Jamie Macken of Core Sponsorship was elected at the AGM and will sit on the ESA Board with immediate effect.
The Association would like to offer its warmest thanks to the ESA Board Member that stepped down during the AGM – Krane Jeffrey of Turner Broadcasting. Krane has been involved with ESA for four years as a linchpin of ESA’s Media Committee and Chair of the ESA Media Group.
The ESA Board has introduced a new membership proposition to ensure it continually adapts to build on its position to represent the sponsorship industry, and to provide benefits that ensure added value for ESA members. Reiterated by Andy Westlake, Chairman of ESA:
“In tandem with other membership associations, we are finding that we need to continue to adapt the work we do for our members as the world moves on ever more rapidly!
We’ve spent much of this year listening to our members / potential members and we’ve been focused on providing the benefits that they believe are most valuable to them. Inevitably therefore, the past year and the period we’re entering has seen and will see continued positive evolution.”
