Join us for three separate sessions as we help ESA members get to grips with sponsorship measurement.
In this Sponsors’ session, we will learn from the best about determining what to measure and how, the importance of measuring outcomes not just outputs, and proving sponsorship’s contribution to business objectives.
Hosted by Sophie Morris, ESA Board Director, these three sessions will provide a topical discussion and debate around one of the most seemingly troublesome areas of sponsorship management.

Maeve Galvin

Maeve is a strategic marketing professional with international experience working in marketing agencies, publishers and with leading Irish Brands. Maeve has been leading Electric Ireland’s hugely successful sponsorship portfolio, across charity, sport and music for the past three years, driving brand equity and business growth. A sports enthusiast Maeve is also passionate about sustainability and gender equality.
Marie Houlgate
Head of Sport, O2
Marie is the Head of Sport at O2 Telefonica UK and is responsible for leading O2’s long-standing Principal Partnership with England Rugby. Marie joined O2 back in 2016 and has recently led the award winning Be their Armour #WearTheRose campaign for the RWC 2019 and the five year renewal with England Rugby, which saw O2 pledge to bring spend parity across both the men’s and women’s teams, making the sponsorship one of the longest standing shirt sport sponsorships in the World. Prior to joining O2 Marie worked for Accenture managing their UK sponsorship portfolio across sports and culture.
Nick Rogers
Sponsorship Lead, Cadbury
Nicholas leads the company’s global portfolio of UK football club sponsorships, partnerships, brand marketing & activation, as well as its partnership with Merlin Entertainments & British Paralympic Association. His team are responsible for the activation of their global rights across Mondelēz International, owner of the UK’s favourite chocolate brand Cadbury and other iconic global and local brands such as OREO, belVita, Milka and Toblerone.
Prior to this role, Nicholas has had experience working on some of Britain’s other biggest and most-loved brands, spanning sport/FMCG/broadcast/entertainment in cross-functional roles. These include IMG, BBC, News UK, Arsenal FC & The Walt Disney Company.
Finally, Nicholas is a scholar in the prestigious Marketing Academy, who identified him as a media industry leader & he graduated from Bournemouth University.

Sophie has been developing and implementing marketing strategies for the last 20 years with Director-level experience in financial services.
She now runs Millharbour Marketing, a strategic marketing and sponsorship consultancy, focused on designing research-led business processes and tools for rights holders and sponsors that improve efficiency, relevance and commercial performance.
Sophie is a Chartered Marketer, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, an ESA Board Director, an Advisory Board Member of the Institute for Sport Business at Loughborough University London, a Lecturer and Strategic Sponsorship Programme Developer for Loughborough University London, an Advisory Board member of the Danish Sponsorship group ‘SPOT:ON Club’, a judge of the UK, Belgian and Slovenian Sponsorship awards, is a Business Ambassador (Partnerships Management) for School of Hard Knocks charity, co-founded ESA’s National Representatives workstream, and is an International Speaker on marketing and sponsorship topics.
