The European Sponsorship Association today officially responds to the ongoing FIFA crisis.
ESA is an organisation that encourages all of its members to uphold, at all times, the highest professional standards across the sponsorship and wider marketing mix.
An ESA spokesperson commented, “The current situation with FIFA underlines the critical importance of transparency and high ethical standards in sport and in business. Sponsors don’t want to be associated with shady practices and are increasingly asking rights-owners tough questions on a range of compliance and CSR issues. ESA strongly supports the stance taken by sponsors in challenging FIFA to take immediate steps to put its house in order.”
