International Wine & Spirit Competition announces distillery design and build firm Forsyths as official sponsor of IWSC Distiller of the Year award

● Award-winning Forsyths provides equipment and solutions to domestic and international markets for beer, wine and spirit producers
● Distiller of the Year is the IWSC’s top spirits award
Forsyths, famous for the manufacture of beautiful stills, has been announced as an official sponsor of the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2019.
Forsyth Ltd, based in the heart of Speyside in Scotland, is a family-run company now in its 4th generation. They produce handcrafted and hand-shaped pot stills for both boutique craft distillers and established drinks conglomerates. Over the years the company has grown internationally with current contracts in Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea, the Caribbean, Mexico, Thailand and the USA, to name but a few. Due to growing demand, Forsyths have recently opened a new office in Hong Kong to better serve clients in the Asia-Pacific Region.
The company will be sponsoring the IWSC Distiller of the Year award, which recognises the spirits distillery that is awarded the highest accolades in its category. Last year, it was awarded to family-owned Scottish company William Grant & Sons Ltd., which distils Scotch whisky and other selected categories of spirits.
Producers are judged on their range and number of entries, percentage of medals received and scoring of their products; the Distiller of the Year is then selected from a shortlist of winning producers across a range of categories.
Richard E Forsyth, Managing Director said “Forsyths are delighted to sponsor this special award, Distiller of the Year, at the International Wine and Spirit Competition. We are proud to be associated with this award because previous winners have been clients of ours.”
IWSC Chief Executive Allen Gibbons said, “We are delighted to welcome Forsyths as sponsor of the Distiller of the Year trophy. Forsyth stills are such a fundamental part of so many of the fabulous spirits judged each year by the IWSC, so to have them as sponsor of this award is a perfect match.”
