After 17 years in the corporate sector working with leading brands Castrol and T-Mobile, sponsorship specialist Toby Hester is launching his own business, Sponsorship Coach. This innovative new concept will directly coach rights holders, agencies and brands how to overcome their challenges in sponsorship and maximise their investments.
Before his role as Castrol Global Football Manager, Hester was the Head of Sponsorship for ten years at telecoms giant T-Mobile, and through his extensive experience in the industry was able to identify a need for an education programme for sponsorship professionals.
Hester commented: “With global sponsorship investment predicted to reach $60 billion by 2017, some areas of brand partnerships just haven’t kept pace with the market evolution. I’ve worked all the way from regional community initiatives to global sponsorship programmes such as four FIFA World Cups and experienced most of what the industry can throw at you.
