ESA member, the International Floorball Federation, has launched the first ever World Virtual Freestyle Floorball Cup (WVFFC) 2020. This is a competition where every floorballer can take part by showing their best tricks or skills within a certain time-limit. The competition is organised virtually and the winner will be crowned based on social media voting. The official launch took place on 12th of October at 10:00 CET on the IFF communication channels.
The aim of the new competition format is to activate floorball players around the world and organise events utilising new virtual concepts, especially now during the COVID-19 times, when social distancing is recommended, even mandatory, and often on-site playing is restricted / forbidden. In addition, this event format gives the possibility for players from countries with no national teams, to participate in an official IFF Event. The IFF wants all skilful floorball players to film a video of their best freestyle floorball moves (for example include zorro moves and/or other tricks) and send them to the IFF media team (media@floorball.sport) before 26th of October! More information in the competition rules below.
