Millwall Football Club is pleased to announce a partnership with Fabricks.
In association with MatchWornShirt, The Lions will be the first club in the Sky Bet Championship to use Fabricks for shirt authentication, beginning with Saturday’s visit of Wrexham.

Fabricks is a groundbreaking innovation that 100% digitally guarantees and protects the identity and authenticity of a product. Powered by an NFC (near-field communication) chip, secured in the blockchain, this digital certificate of authenticity holds a wealth of detail about the product, athlete statistics and event data, as well as additional exclusive information. This makes it the most advanced technology in memorabilia to date.
“Millwall have been a great partner of ours for a number of years and we are delighted that they have become the latest club in our partnership portfolio to adopt Fabricks technology,” said James Flue, Head of Business Development at MatchWornShirt.
He added: “This move is a clear demonstration of the club’s commitment to innovation as they become the first Fabricks partner in The Championship – and it’s a move which adds substantial further value to our matchworn partnership, given that players will be playing every game in shirts that have been chipped pre-match.”
Luke Wilson, Chief Commercial Officer at The Den, said: “The Fabricks technology is a fantastic innovation, so when we first discussed it with our long-standing partner, MatchWornShirt, we could see the potential straight away. With the launch of Fabricks, it is now possible for our fans and collectors to have a 100% digital guarantee for the origin, uniqueness and security of the matchworn shirt in their possession.
“Importantly, this groundbreaking technology is also incredibly easy to use, with fans able to unlock a personal digital certificate of authenticity by simply holding their mobile device to the Fabricks chip and tapping the notification that appears. This will eliminate the issue of lost certificates and allow for a multitude of future developments such as the provision of additional exclusive match-related content for the owner, while protecting fans against the trading of inauthentic shirts.
“As a club, we’re always looking for ways to embrace innovation, so we are delighted to be the first club in The Championship to adopt this new technology alongside MatchWornShirt.”
